Orlando Portrait Photorgraphy - Gretchen

Picture
Picture Well these pictures are a little past due, but I wanted to share them anyway!  I got to spend a beautiful Sunday afternoon with my sweet friend, Gretchen.  Gretchen and I always have a good time and so it was such a pleasure to be able to capture her personality on camera.  Gretchen needed head shots for her job so we hung out around Winter Park taking pictures.  And of course, I made sure that she got a few fun pictures, too!  Here are a few of my favorites, but if you want

to see them all, check out my facebook page.  http://www.facebook.com/kristinoellephotography.  And you know the drill...contact me to set up a session! :)

Block Letters

As I've mentioned numerous times and as my website clearly displays...my passion is portraits.  I love taking pictures of people.  Really, honestly, and truly, I can't think of much more that gets me so excited. I hope I get to see the day when this is my full time living...spending time with awesome people and taking their pictures. I get this crazy wonderful feeling just thinking about it.

Anyway, that's not what this post is about.  This post is about another fun photography project!  I mean, really, when it comes down to it, I just love art.  I love design. This past Christmas my dad gave me the great idea to photograph objects that looked like letters and to spell out names with those pictures.  He had some leftover wood laying around his workshop from woodworking projects he had done over the past several years.  He cut the wood into blocks, sanded them down smooth, and routed the edges.  I then took the pictures, edited them, and printed them to the correct size. And together we pasted the letters on these blocks and...voila! We had a really fantastic Christmas gift!  We made 3 of them during the holidays...2 for my friends and one for my mom.  I only have a picture of one of the sets right now...hopefully I can snatch pictures of the other 2 in the next several months.  This set of blocks spells the name "Sarah" (obviously for my friend named Sarah...convenient, right?).  I was so excited about the way they turned out!

Please contact me if you'd like a set of your own!  We can discuss pricing and timing.  Of course, the pictures can also be framed instead of glued onto blocks.  And I'm sure I can think of other creative ways to display them as well, if you're interested.  So just shoot me a message and we'll talk! :)
